The 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ Alumni Association is governed by a volunteer board of directors. To be eligible, candidates must be a graduate of 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ and annually contribute at the Scarlet Loyal alumni donor level. Members of the board are selected to serve two-year terms and participate in board meetings as well as various meetings and activities of their assigned committees.
The 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ Alumni Association annually elects directors to serve on its board for a term of two years. Directors are eligible for re-election for up to three consecutive terms. Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis, however, the annual review period takes place over the summer annually.

Board of Directors Expectations
Directors on the 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ Alumni Association Board of Directors exist to secure and promote the fiduciary, legal, and ethical well-being of the Association and to ensure that the organization fulfills its missions. If you do not fulfill these commitments to the association, expect the board president to discuss your responsibilities with you to determine if dismissal as a director is necessary.

In turn, expect the 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ Alumni Association to be responsible in the following ways:
- Provide regular financial reports on association activities.
- Provide opportunities to discuss important organizational issues with the board president and the executive director as appropriate.
- The staff and board of directors will respond in a straightforward manner to questions that are necessary to carry out your responsibilities to the association.
- Board members and the staff will work with you in good faith toward the achievement of association goals.
If you feel the 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ Alumni Association does not fulfill its commitment, you can call on the board president and executive director to discuss the organization’s responsibilities.
