The College of Education Communications Team is seeking a video production graduate assistant (GA) for the 2024-2025 academic year.
The master’s level video production graduate assistant will support the college in producing high-quality video content for educational, promotional, and outreach purposes. The role requires 20 hours per week and involves assisting with all phases of video production, including pre-production planning, filming, editing, and post-production tasks. The ideal candidate will be a graduate student with strong technical skills, creativity, and a passion for multimedia storytelling.
Qualifications:
- Full-time enrollment in a 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ master’s level graduate program, preferably in film, media studies, communications, or a related field
- Strong proficiency in video production and editing software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Final Cut Pro)
- Experience with video camera operation, lighting, and audio recording
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Creative problem-solving abilities and a keen eye for visual storytelling
- Demonstrated support for diversity, equity, and inclusiveness, as well as participating in maintaining a respectful, positive work environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a video production role or internship
- Familiarity with graphic design and animation software (e.g., After Effects)
- Experience working in an academic or educational environment
Compensation:
This position is eligible to receive a $17,000 stipend for the fall and spring semesters, nine credits per semester of tuition coverage, and graduate assistant benefits.
