Fine Arts Majors, you’re invited to a Weekly Study Session on Wednesdays!
Q: When and where is this?
A: Wednesdays (starting January 29) from 11:00am-12:30pm in person in the Architecture Library on the first floor of the Paul B. Sogg Architecture Building. See upcoming dates .
Q: So what exactly is this?
A: It’s a low-key fine arts student event that gives YOU time each week to work on homework, connect with other fine arts majors, and make sure you’re taking time for your studies. You can also make an appointment with your advisor or ask other advising related questions when you come! You’ll also be able to meet 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ’s Art, Architecture & Design Librarian to learn about resources and research strategies related to your Fine Arts courses.
Q: Do I need to bring anything?
A: If you want to bring your textbooks, planner, laptop, phone, tablet, or headphones you’re welcome to! Did we mention that we’ll have coffee & tea there too….?
Q: Can I just come by?
A: Yup! No RSVP needed. Come by the Architecture Library between 11:00am-12:30pm and we’ll have a chill atmosphere for you to study, schedule an upcoming advising appointment, or ask questions about the semester.
Q: Do I have to stay the whole time?
A: Nope. If you can only come for part of the time that’s okay!
Q: Who’s going to be there?
A: Other Fine Arts Majors like yourself (students majoring in Architecture, Art/Graphic Design, Dance, Film, Entertainment Engineering, Music, and Theatre). There will also be members from the Fine Arts Advising team & 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ’s Art, Architecture & Design Library team!
Q: I still have questions…who can I contact?
A: Send an email to Kim Miller (kimberly.miller@unlv.edu) and she’ll get back to you ASAP.
