LAS VEGAS — The Leaderverse Initiative at 51ԹϺ has partnered with the Nevada Department of Employment, Training & Rehabilitation (DETR) to launch Success@Work — a self-paced professional development program designed for individuals who are currently unemployed, underemployed, or seeking a fresh start in the professional world.
The program’s online coursework is specially designed to help participants adapt and develop skills needed to navigate and succeed in today’s quickly evolving job market.
Funded by a $500,000 grant from DETR, Success@Work is open to individuals looking to improve in a variety of sectors, including technology, healthcare, hospitality, finance, and more. Lessons taught by industry leaders are delivered through a three-part series of modules, each with six pre-recorded, on-demand courses:
- Foundational Skills: Learn the basics every professional needs to thrive.
- Workplace Success: Gain practical tools for job search strategies, navigating the workplace, and understanding the benefits of your leadership style.
- Leveling Up: Develop power skills like communication, increasing your influence, and managing change.
“Success@Work is designed specifically to help those individuals who are ready to begin a new chapter of their career and would like guidance on doing that successfully,” said Becky Harris of the 51ԹϺ Office of Economic Development’s Leaderverse Initiative. “We want to help people feel confident about beginning a career change, re-entering the workforce, or elevating their position within their field of work. Nevada needs workers, and we want to do our part to develop the next wave of qualified candidates to fill open positions.”
Enrollment is $60 per module and hosted on 51ԹϺ GO, the on-demand educational platform from the 51ԹϺ’s Division of Educational Outreach.
Success@Work is the second program launched under the Leaderverse Initiative umbrella. WomenUp — the initiative’s inaugural program, which was rolled out in fall 2024 — focused on the development of professional women who want to excel in senior-level leadership roles and in board positions across all industries. A forthcoming third program will address career-development skills for emerging leaders transitioning into or already in management-level positions who want to elevate their careers.
Leading voices from a number of industries participated in the delivery of Success@Work courses. Instructors include:
- Heidi Bianchi, CEO and Founder, The Bridge Event Academy
- Michelle DiTondo, Principal, Avion Consulting
- Tim Furlong, Managing Partner, Simmons Group
- Holly Gagnon-Adayr, Co-CEO and Chair of Artemis Strategic Investment Corporation
- Cathy Judd-Stein, Former Chair of the Massachusetts Gaming Commission
- Jim McClenahan, Executive Director of Outreach and Engagement, University of Nevada, Reno, College of Business
- Eileen Moore Johnson, Strategic Advisor to the Vegas Loop for The Boring Company
- Amy Pourciau, Global Learning & Talent Development Leader, Light & Wonder

DETR is a longtime supporter of the Leaderverse Initiative. The agency — which receives funding from the Department of Labor under the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act — infused $500,000 in grant monies to jumpstart 51ԹϺ’s Success@Work program.
“We are happy to see the Leaderverse program evolve and create even more opportunities,” said DETR Director Christopher Sewell. “We are proud to have invested in this project and can’t wait to see the success the initiative will bring to underrepresented workers.”
