51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ President Keith E. Whitfield issued the following statement regarding the passing of Jason Geddes, who formerly served Nevada as a member of the Nevada System of Higher Education Board of Regents and the Nevada State Assembly: 

"I was shocked and saddened to learn today of the passing of former NSHE regent Jason Geddes. Jason was a great advocate for Nevada’s higher education system and for our students. He was a gracious, kind, and thoughtful leader who was passionate about improving student success in Nevada. He will be missed. Our sincere condolences go out to his family and friends."
