Dr. Jeffrey Cummings, research professor and Director of the Chambers-Grundy Center for Transformative Neuroscience at 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ, was  with a medal from Erik Ramanathan, the U.S. Ambassador to the Kingdom of Sweden, for his lifetime of work in Alzheimer’s research during a ceremony honoring the 10 previous winners of the Melvin R. Goodes Prize in Stockholm. 

The Goodes Prize is presented each year by the Alzheimer’s Drug Discovery Foundation and is awarded to a pioneering scientist who has made an exceptional impact on the Alzheimer’s field.

Dr. Cummings, who received the Goodes Prize in 2019, was joined by his fellow winners in Stockholm for the special occasion. a full-day symposium for scientists to discuss their groundbreaking research, a celebratory dinner, as well as a special address given by Her Majesty Queen Silvia of Sweden.
