As you drive on behalf of 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ or operate university-owned vehicles and carts, it's important to stay up to date with established procedures and requirements. Please review the following guidelines to ensure proper compliance and safety. 

General Guidelines for 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ Vehicles and Carts

  • Authorized Use: 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ vehicles and carts must be used exclusively for conducting university business and should only be operated for their intended purpose.
  • Authorized Operators: Only 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ employees, student workers, and documented volunteers are permitted to operate 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ vehicles or carts.

Driver Requirements

To operate a 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ vehicle or cart, the following requirements must be met:

  1. Valid Driver’s License: Drivers must possess a current, valid driver’s license appropriate for the class of the vehicle they will operate.
  2. Acknowledgment Form: Drivers must read and sign the
  3. Defensive Driving Training
    o    Drivers must complete a 4-hour defensive driving training course within their first year of employment. 
    o    A refresher course must be completed every four years thereafter.
  4. Golf Cart Safety Training: Employees operating golf carts on campus must complete cart safety training before use. 

Personal Vehicle Use for 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ Business

Employees using their personal vehicles for university business must:
