The College of Fine Arts Advising Center provides guidance for all undergraduate students in the School of Architecture.
The School of Architecture graduate coordinator provides advising and guidance for all master’s degree students.
The School of Architecture assistant director provides guidance and mentoring for all undergraduates in the School of Architecture.
All students in the School of Architecture are required to meet with their advisor at least once per year. For students enrolled in undergraduate foundation studies (first and second year), advising is required each semester.
Scholarships
Interested in applying for a scholarship? Every year the 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ School of Architecture will post application details and application submission deadlines in January for the following academic year.
Current 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ freshmen or sophomores who are pursuing a career in Architecture or Engineering may apply for this scholarship. Student must have a 3.2 or higher cumulative GPA and be enrolled in 15 credits or more. One scholarship in the amount of $2,500 will be awarded. The deadline is January 31, 2023.
Applicants to the Simpson Strong-Tie Student Scholarship program must be enrolled as juniors (60 semester hours or equivalent) or seniors in full-time undergraduate study in architecture, structural/civil engineering or construction management.
Interested students must complete the online application and mail it along with a current, complete transcript of grades to Scholarship Management Services postmarked no later than March 15, 2024. Grade reports are not acceptable. Online transcripts must display student name, school name, grade, and credit hours earned for each course, and the term in which each course was taken. Applicants will receive acknowledgment of receipt of their application. If an acknowledgment card is not received within three weeks, applicants may call Scholarship Management Services to verify that the application has been received. Applicants are responsible for gathering and submitting all necessary information. Applications are evaluated on the information supplied; therefore, answer all questions as completely as possible. Incomplete applications will not be evaluated. All information received is considered confidential and is reviewed only by Scholarship Management Services.
Current 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ Architecture Majors in their 3rd year as an undergrad student or graduate student who have not yet entered their final year of study can apply. You must have a cumulative GPA of 2.75 or higher. Must be formally admitted to 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ. Have a FAFSA or Alternate Need Form on file with the 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ Financial Aid Office. Must submit 5 of your best renderings or drawings and prepare them in a compiled PDF of images. The deadline is Friday, March 15th, 2024.
Current 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ Architecture, Landscape Architecture, and Interior Architecture Design students can apply. You must have a cumulative GPA of 2.75 or higher if you are an undergraduate student and a 3.0 for graduate students. Must be taking a course with differential fees (3rd & 4th-year undergrad courses, and 600-700 grad courses). Must be enrolled full time: Undergrads 12 credits, Graduate 9 credits, and GA's 6 credits. Have a FAFSA or Alternate Need Form on file with the 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ Financial Aid Office. The deadline is Friday, March 15th, 2024.
