Looking in context with the visual culture of societies, this study also becomes an anthropological examination of the peoples and cultures behind the artwork. Students will engage with works of art and apply theoretical concepts and analysis to the work. Equipped with foundational knowledge of art history, students can pursue academic and research based opportunities in the visual arts.
