About
The graduate certificate in program evaluation and assessment targets both part-time and full-time graduate students who wish to develop specialized knowledge of the practice and application of evaluation. This program is particularly relevant to individuals who may need to plan and conduct evaluations in their workplace. The 15-credit certificate program is geared toward those who need to produce evaluation and incorporate evaluation results into decision making and program planning. Hours earned for the certificate may be applied to a degree program in educational psychology or higher education at the masters or doctoral levels. Hours earned in the masters or doctorate programs in educational psychology or higher education may NOT be used toward the certificate. Certificate Requirements 15 credit hours.

Learning Outcomes
The learning outcomes associated with the certificate are guided by the . At the completion of the certificate, students will have demonstrated knowledge and skills with respect to the following standards:
- Utility Standard: Students will acquire evaluation planning and design skills to ensure that program stakeholders find evaluation processes and products valuable in meeting their needs. This includes ensuring appropriate representation of values, norms, and beliefs of stakeholder groups.
- Feasibility Standard: Students will develop knowledge of practical project management skills to increase evaluation effectiveness and efficiency.
- Proprietary Standard: Students will understand appropriate negotiation, planning, and reporting practices to support what is proper, fair, legal, right and just in evaluations.
- Accuracy Standard: Students will develop research design, methodological, and analytic skills to increase the dependability and truthfulness of evaluation representations, propositions, and findings, especially those that support interpretations and judgments about quality.
