Types

  • Institutional memberships that are held in the name of the institution and transferable to anyone the institution may assign.
  • Individual memberships that are held in the name of an individual.

Memberships Policy

All memberships must be approved by the appropriate Dean, Director of Athletics, or Vice President or designee:

  • Memberships should be reviewed to determine whether an institutional membership is currently held by 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ.
  • State accounts may not be used for individual memberships.
  • Due to the diminishing level of return to the university, consider the following guidelines:
    • Total number of organization memberships for an individual.
    • University funds are not authorized for too many individual memberships to the same organization or if an institutional membership should be purchased to more prudently provide for institutional representation.

  • Are permitted to be paid from state funds.
  • Must be in the name and under control of the university.
  • PCard or are acceptable payment methods for payment.
  • Institutional membership payments must include the complete supporting materials that detail all fees and assessments.
  • Must be approved in writing by the Dean, Director of Athletics, or Vice President (email is acceptable).
  • Approval will certify that the membership is:
    • Not personal.
    • In the interest of the university.
    • Not a duplicate institutional membership.

  • Are not permitted to be paid from state funds.
  • Must be approved in writing by the Dean, Director of Athletics, or Vice President (email is acceptable).
  • Approval will certify that the membership is:
    • Not personal.
    • In the interest of the university.
    • A copy of written approval should be attached to the transaction.
  • PCard or are acceptable payment methods for payment only after obtaining the appropriate approval.
  • Employees can be reimbursed via expense reimbursement.
  • Individual membership payments must include the complete supporting materials that detail all fees and assessments.
  • Must be approved in writing by the supervisor (email is acceptable) and/or according to departmental requirements
