Learning Outcomes
- Actors learn to communicate the ideas of a play to an audience. Designers and technicians enhance that communication visually. Collaboration is an essential technique for theatre artists.
- Understanding and interpreting dramatic literature and forms requires research, analysis and evaluation to develop most effective methods to present ideas to each other and an audience.
- Global/Multicultural Knowledge and Awareness: Theatre is a global tradition rooted in pre-history. It’s study challenges, informs, and embraces all aspects of humanity.

Department of Theatre
The department of theatre offers programs in performance, production, and technology taught by a diverse group of experienced faculty. Our in-depth programs and hands-on training provides students a strong foundation and comprehensive knowledge of theatre studies, design, performance in stage and screen, and technology and stage management.
