The Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering & Construction (CEEC) at 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ offers a number of areas of engineering options leading to the Master of Science in Engineering (MSE) - Civil & Environmental Engineering. Specific areas of engineering that are currently available include Construction, Geotechnical, Structural, Transportation, and Water Resources/ Environmental. MSE students should follow the graduate rules and milestones of the program mentioned in CEEC Graduate Student Handbook.

Learning Outcomes
Thesis Track
- Demonstrate knowledge in the chosen area of their expertise (construction, geotechnical, structural, transportation, and water resources/environmental).
- Acquire and apply appropriate research methodology to solve contemporary engineering problems related to the area of their expertise.
- Demonstrate an ability to generate, collect, compile, and interpret research data.

Non-Thesis Track

Career Possibilities
MSE degree allows the students to specialize in an area of interest such as construction, geotechnical, structural, transportation or water resource/environmental engineering. A Master’s degree leads to better opportunities for securing technical or management positions at public institutions, and engineering consulting, design, manufacturing, or construction firms.
