Co-hosted by the Teaching & Learning Commons and 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ Global. Open to all 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ international instructors, this workshop will explore how cultural differences shape the classroom experience. Communication Studies faculty, Associate Professor-in-Residence, Tzu-Chiao Chen & Assistant Professor-in-Residence, Ursula Kamanga will open the conversation, sharing strategies for navigating U.S. classroom norms, building cultural bridges, while balancing their unique teaching philosophies, and respecting the methodologies of their respective disciplines. Participants will engage in discussions on topics such as building rapport with students and understanding U.S. classroom culture. The session aims to foster a supportive network for international faculty, offering a space to share strategies, overcome challenges, and celebrate successes in diverse educational settings.
