Description

Have you noticed more students choosing topics about the entertainment industry for their research assignments?

As Las Vegas grows as a hub for sports, film and television, and music, these relevant topics will pique students’ interest. Exploring how they relate to classroom concepts is an excellent way to help students make connections between disciplinary contexts and their everyday experiences. However, when researching these current or niche topics, finding scholarly sources can be challenging.

In this lunch and learn, we will explore strategies for supporting students in conducting scholarly research on pop culture topics, from Arcane to Formula 1 and beyond.
