We are excited to present the 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ Career & Internship Fair. This event will provide 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ students and alumni with the opportunity to connect with numerous employers from a variety of industries.

Pre-Fair Preparation:

• Pre-register to get important updates about the fair.

• Research the employers coming to the fair. Prepare a question or two for each employer you're interested in.

• Make sure your resume is ready!

  • • Set up an appointment with Career Services in Handshake to review your resume

    • Attend Prepare for the Fair events:

      • Resume Review: Tuesday, February 11 (Lied Library Amargosa Room)

      • Resume Review: Wednesday, February 12 (Lied Library Amargosa Room)

      • Employer Panel & Mixer: Thursday, February 13 (Lied Library Goldfield Room)

• Update your Handshake profile and upload your resume

• Sharpen and rehearse your elevator pitch

 Fair Tips & Tricks:

• Bring your smartphone to view the concourse map and check in at employer booths (this shares your resume with them and saves their info on your Handshake app).

• Bring a few printed copies of your resume just in case.

• Dress for success

• Don’t be shy - Be friendly, be confident, and be prepared with something to say.

• Make a good first and lasting impression with each recruiter - Greet the recruiter with a warm smile and strong eye contact.

• Do not overstay your welcome - Be friendly, make your pitch, and move on so others also get a chance.
