Professor Mike Sullivan has been at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas since 1991. He was previously at Auburn University and has taught summer courses at the University of Hawaii– Manoa, La Salle University in Manila, Philippines, and Thammasat University in Bangkok, Thailand. He received his Bachelors of Science in Accounting from St. John Fisher College, a Masters in Business Administration from the Universityof Florida, and a PhD in Finance from Florida State University. His research interests include issues related to corporate governance and international finance and has published in journals including the Journal of Banking and Finance, Financial Management, the Financial Review, the Journal of Empirical Finance, the Pacific-Basin Finance Journal, the Journal of Business Finance and Accounting, the Journal of Business Research, and the Journal of Accounting, Auditing, and Finance. He was a Fulbright Scholar to the Philippines in 1998 and 2005.

Sean Skinner

This position is principally responsible for running the weekly 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ-SMF meetings. The Chief Administrator plans each meeting's Agenda and facilitates the business of those sessions. Additionally, this Officer oversees preparation of month-end, quarter-end, and year-end reports, and overseas planning of the Annual Report Luncheon at the conclusion of the academic year.

Eric Roth

The Operations Manager is responsible for recording each of the transactions and other financial activities of the Fund, and preparing and distributing the Minutes of each meeting. This position also requires for the maintenance and storage of all files and paperwork generated by 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ-SMF, including the Agenda for each meeting, incoming and outgoing correspondence, Analyst and Economist Reports, and Reports of Fund performance. The Operations Manager assists the Chief Administrator with preparation of month-end, quarter-end, and year-end reports.

Steven Paulson, Matthew Stempien

The Technology Officers create and maintain the internet web page for 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ-SMF. This website will include posting announcements that would be of interest to the campus and business communities and disclosing monthly and quarterly performance results. The website also serves as an effective medium for communicating with prospective candidates for future editions of 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ-SMF and alums. The Technology Officers will also investigate any technologies that will enable students to exchange and post information in a controlled environment.

Brandon Damman, Sean Quinn, Trevor Snow, John Wreglesworth

Each Economist in the 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ-SMF specializes in a different geographic sector: 3 Economists for the Domestic (USA and Canada) geographic sector, 1 for the Central and South America geographic sector, 1 for the Asia geographic sector, and 1 for the Europe geographic sector. The Economists will provide weekly updates of their respective region's economic condition. The three Domestic Economists will split coverage of the North American economy. These Domestic Economists will focus on industrial capacity, construction, infrastructure, unemployment, housing, inflation, automobile sales, and consumer confidence.

Mike Schulte, Jeff Zemp

The Statisticians compile continuous descriptive statistical information about the Fund that the team integrates into the management of the portfolio. These measures include various return calculations, individual and portfolio betas, individual and portfolio P/E ratios, asset and sector allocations, value/growth and market capitalization exposures, and comparative performance measures. This data is included in the month-end, quarter-end, and annual reports.

Hiba Chergou, Elias Shilyan

The Database Coordinator oversees the use of the MorningStar Direct platform, is Liaison between the Fund and MorningStar Direct Staff, and comes willing and able to help other Analysts with the use of the MorningStar platform. The Database Coordinator will also oversee use of our ValueLine Database.

Alan Amici, Dave Prato

The Technical Analysts provide a technical opinion about very new security presented by each Analyst Group in order to provide additional insight into the timing of transactions. The process involves the examination of past price movements in order to forecast future price movements. In addition, the Technical Analysts provide technical updates on existing positions as conditions and expectations change. In managing the portfolio, all of the Analysts integrate both fundamental and technical information into the decision-making process. Recommendations of entry and exit strategies, which are essential for an actively managed portfolio, are also part of the responsibility of this position.

Dave Larson

The Fixed Income Manager provides expertise and opinions about fixed income securities. They are in charge of analyzing our current positions within the fixed income sector as well as ensure that our specific allocation is met.

Joshua Payne

The Public Relations Officer is the face of RIG. They keep us active and relevant on all the social media outlets available. They inform the 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ community of upcoming events as well as help I recruitment of new student analysts. As our newest position, it is still in the beginning stages but we are very excited to see how this position can help RIG stay active within today's constantly evolving internet based society.
