Higher education institutions like 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ are permitted under current IRS rules to offer 403(b) or Tax-Sheltered Annuity Plans. The university offers two types of plans under the 403(b) or Tax-Sheltered Annuity Plan – a pre-tax plan and an after-tax or Roth option. Contributions are taken from employee’s paychecks and sent directly to NSHE’s record keeper, .
To participate in this plan:
- Navigate to the home page and click on the Benefits worklet.
- Click on Retirement Savings under the Change column to edit your voluntary retirement benefits.
- Additionally, you must also open your account online with TIAA and choose your investments.
