Connect, Engage, Grow.

The mission of the chapter is to build a strong relationship between 51ԹϺ and its Alumni and friends. This relationship is strengthened by active participation in the objectives of the Chapter to benefit the SIHS and 51ԹϺ through outreach, engagement, and philanthropy for the benefit of 51ԹϺ.

About Us

The School of Integrated Health Sciences (SIHS) Alumni Chapter received approval in October 2021. In the fall semester of 2020, a group of alumni met to discuss the possibility and requirements of forming a chapter. This group of alumni continued to meet during early 2021 and developed the Bylaws for the Chapter.

During the summer of 2021, we held our first election for the Board of Directors and approved the Bylaws. That first Board then wrote the Strategic Plan and completed the application process for full recognition from the 51ԹϺ Alumni Association.

The School of Integrated Health Sciences (SIHS) Alumni Chapter received approval in October 2021.

Each Director serves a 2-year term, but the positions are staggered so that ½ of the Board rotates yearly. Therefore, the Chapter will have some Board elections each year. Any alumni member can be nominated for a Board position. The Board of Directors meets four times per year.

There are currently 9 Objectives in the Bylaws that are designed to help the Chapter accomplish its mission.

All graduates from any of the majors or programs sponsored by the School of Integrated Health Sciences formerly known as The School of Allied Health are automatically members of the Chapter. There are no dues to join. But there are three levels of membership: Alumni, Affiliate, and Honorary.

Chapter meetings are held at least once per year, but the Board or the Chapter members can call other meetings. Chapter meetings can be held in-person, virtually, or a combination of both. Chapter meeting announcements are distributed through various print and electronic media in advance.
