The School of Music has a variety of scholarships and service awards available to undergraduate music students. Awards are merit-based, with decisions beginning in mid-March. The awards will be finalized once you have been accepted to 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ, completed an audition, and accepted your award. Award letters are sent by e-mail and need to be signed & returned, indicating acceptance of an award.

Graduate student applicants may apply for Graduate Assistantships with the School of Music. Additional opportunities may be available and are advertised through the Graduate College website. Graduate student applicants also are considered for Grant In Aid Instate Tuition Equivalency awards, saving out-of-state and international graduate students thousands of dollars every semester.

Maintaining Your Aid

Once an undergraduate music student is awarded financial aid, the aid will continue for eight semesters as long as:

  • You are a declared Music Major (some scholarships may be available to music minors) and a member of the required ensemble(s) appropriate to your area(s) of study;
  • You enroll in and successfully complete twelve (12) credits per semester;
  • You maintain the GPA requirements associated with your designated award (usually 2.5 or better); and
  • You are making satisfactory progress toward your degree.

Additional Aid

For additional aid outside of the music school, visit the Financial Aid and Scholarships website.
