Arpita Basu (Kinesiology and Nutrition Sciences) in collaboration with her colleagues at the University of South Florida and the University of Colorado published on the inverse association of dietary fiber with blood hemoglobin A1c using data from the NHLBI-funded CACTI cohort. This prospective cohort aims to examine the associations of dietary, lifestyle, and blood biomarkers with the progression of coronary artery calcification in adults with type 1 diabetes compared to matched controls.
