Brandon Ranuschio, Sherry Bell, Lianne Barnes, Renato M. Liboro (all Psychology), and Jason D. Flatt (Social and Behavioral Health) recently published their article, "" in the International Journal of Environmental Research and Public Health. This article discusses the findings of their study that identifies and examines the levels of awareness and knowledge of Southern Nevada HIV sector community-based healthcare and service providers on the interaction and intersection of aging, HIV/AIDS, and neurocognitive challenges, and the emergent public health concern known as HIV-Associated Neurocognitive Disorder. The article also discusses the implications of the study's findings in terms of raising levels of awareness and the critical roles providers may play in supporting older people living with HIV/AIDS experiencing neurocognitive challenges.
