Danica G. Hays (Education) and co-authors were awarded the Patricia B. Elmore Award for Outstanding Research by the Association for Assessment and Research in Counseling for their publication, published in the Measurement and Evaluation in Counseling and Development journal.
The Teen Screen for Dating Violence (TSDV) is an assessment that examines adolescent dating violence perpetration and victimization, perception and exposure to violence, and support systems. Through assessment, adolescents who are at high risk could be identified for prevention and early intervention. This article presents the development, exploratory factor analysis, and Rasch analysis of the TSDV. Findings outline the factor structure and initial reliability, and provide evidence of validity.
