Dr. Deborah Kuhls (Medicine) was installed as second vice-president of the American College of Surgeons (ACS) during a convocation ceremony in October. Kuhls is a professor and acute care surgery chief, as well as associate dean of research for the Kirk Kerkorian School of Medicine at 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ. With 88,000 members worldwide, the ACS is considered by many to be the preeminent organization in surgical education, research, and ethics of practice.
