NV EPIC's grant funded project L3-Linking Latino Leaders kicked off their project October 29 at MEET Las Vegas. The event was well attended, and many of the presenters included 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ faculty and other local leaders. The more notable guests were Congresswomen Sue Ellis, State School Superintendent Joan Ebert, Dean Danica Hayes, and CCSD Assistant Superintendent Ignacio Ruiz. The event kicks off an initiative that aims to empower, motivate, educate and support local Latinx educators who aspire to navigate the leadership pipeline and whom are interested in diversifying the leadership across the district. The event kicked off with entertainment from Las Vegas High School for the Arts Mariachi group.
