Mehdi Abid and Keith Daniel Tan (both Computer Science) were invited to present on the at the Small Business Cybersecurity Webinar - University-Based Cybersecurity Clinic: Educating the Next Generation of Cybersecurity Leaders While Safeguarding Small Businesses.
The panel also included input from fellow member, Louisiana State University's Cybersecurity Clinic, opening remarks by NICE | NIST director Rodney Petersen, and was moderated by NIST lead for small business engagement Daniel Eliot.
As cyber program administrator, Abid discussed the unique operations and goals of 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ’s Clinic and how the clinic serves community small businesses, while CyberCorps SFS student and 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ Cyber Clinic member Tan shared how work in the clinic helps reduce the gap between academic learning and real-world applications.
