Two 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ Health/Kirk Kerkorian School of Medicine at 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ medical practitioners were recently named 2023 Healthcare Heroes by . Each year, judges from competing health care organizations pour through nominations before naming winners in 11 categories. Dr. Michael Daubs, former professor and chair of orthopaedics was named Educator of the Year for his work instructing residents in Southern Nevada and fellow spine surgeons at medical conferences around the world. Pediatric nurse practitioner Pamela Girgis was named Community Partner of the Year for her efforts in 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ Health's school based clinics, providing free and low-cost care to children in economically challenged neighborhoods. Daubs and Girgis accepted their awards during a dinner ceremony at Red Rock Casino and Resort.
