Ph.D. student and graduate assistant Mohamed Ibrahim (Education) successfully organized a TEDx talk on campus that touched on the theme "." The diverse speakers featured in the event were thought leaders, creatives, and change-makers who aimed to spark conversations and share unique perspectives. This particular TEDx event was the first time Ibrahim took the lead as the organizer, selecting 21 speakers from over 150 submissions. As a passionate educator and linguistics professional, Ibrahim curated an enlightening and engaging speaking event that inspired everyone in attendance. For him, this event was a full-circle moment in his academic career. Through TED talks, Ibrahim learned to speak English and gained confidence in his educational pursuits by imitating the talks and he now uses his skills to empower others. He received a proclamation from Las Vegas Mayor Carolyn Goodman in recognition of his accomplishments and involvement with TEDx51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ.
