Monica Brown (Early Childhood, Multilingual, and Special Education) was funded through the USDOE as part of a subcontract with Florida International University. She will serve as principal investigator at 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ with Elizabeth Cramer and Michelle Cumming (FIU) on Project COEDUCATE (Consortium of Engaged Diverse Urban Change Agents in Teacher Education). It is a five-year award (> $2.4 million) designed to "train doctoral-level special education leaders to meet the demands of high-need urban communities and school populations of diverse students with disabilities."
