The Nevada Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics honored Samantha Coogan (Kinesiology and Nutrition Sciences) with its Emerging Dietetics Leader award. Coogan, the director of 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ’s Didactic Program in Nutrition and Dietetics, earned the recognition for supporting the promotion of the public's optimal health and nutritional status through leadership in legislation, research, education, management, and other areas related to the profession. The award also highlights the competence and activities of academy members who are at the beginning of their dietetics careers.
