As the person who greets customers as they walk in the door, Sheri Palmer is the “face” of reprographics and design services. A three-year 51ԹϺ employee, she says the time has flown. She helps gather estimates and project manage print jobs while keeping up vendor relations.

I know a few people who have been at 51ԹϺ for years, and they shared that the culture was a family-friendly environment. 51ԹϺ has not disappointed! I have gotten to know really fantastic people here. Joining the campus community was a great move.

I am most thankful for the graphic designers, our production team that pulls off miracles daily, and our wonderful student employees.
A favorite spot on campus
I don't get the opportunity to get out on campus very often. When I do, it is exciting to spot all of the projects I have seen come across my desk. Seeing the signs, banners, posters, elevator wraps, and window wraps all across campus is satisfying. The best part of my job is having the opportunity to help the university community bring their ideas to life.

Growing up
I grew up in the Northern California countryside. My grandparents had a farm where I spent my days running the fields, eating fresh fruit right off the tree, and hunting crawdads and pollywogs in the nearby river. Also, coming from a military family, I spent summers on the East Coast and would go to work with my father on a submarine base. The time I spent in New England exposed me to rich culture and history that I hadn't experienced in my one-light town in Northern California. My upbringing in a small town and time spent in the big city prepared me for the diverse feel of Las Vegas.
Something people would be surprised to learn about you
For the last five years, I have been advocating for my son, who has disabilities. I've put in lots of hard work, but he is finally getting the support he needs.
A time you have been daring
I packed up and moved from California to Seattle sight unseen at the age of 19. The move was successful. Seattle has a unique energy and culture. It's a city I recommend visiting. Not everyone likes the rain, but I got used to it.
Hobbies
I refurbish furniture, draw, paint, and cheer on our local sports teams.
Oscar predictions
I don't watch many movies, but I did like A Star is Born. The film has some great performances and emotional scenes. Hopefully, they walk away with a win.
Book recommendation
At the new year, I began keeping a gratitude journal where I log the big and small successes in life that I am thankful for. Try it!
