Why 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ?
My relationship with the university began as a student and I realized I never wanted to leave. I love the environment and the opportunity to help many people.
I began working for the office of information technology in 2011 as a student worker. Later that year, once I graduated, I became a full-time technician. Coincidentally, my undergraduate degree is in business management, so I am a Lee Business School alum. I got the opportunity to join the school in a professional capacity in February as the information technology coordinator.
What about 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ strikes you as different from other places you have worked or where you went to school?
I enjoy working for a university because we are helping students grow into adults who will be shaping the future.
What inspired you to get into your field?
My interest in the field started early. Growing up in the Bay Area/Silicon Valley I saw all the major tech companies pop up.
What is the biggest challenge in your field?
The technology and information systems industry is forever changing. There are new technologies regularly and people have to adapt to those changes or be left behind. It’s a challenge, but also an opportunity to help those who have fallen behind try to catch up.
Tell us about a time in your life when you have been daring.
One of the most daring things I have done is going cliff jumping at Nelson's Landing. I’ve been back many times.

be a music producer/video editor or sports writer. I also wouldn’t mind having a show where I travel the world either eating different foods or exploring new locations.
Tell us about someone you admire and why.
My dad was dirt poor. He was raised by a single mom and had four siblings. Though it wasn’t easy, he sold bone marrow to put himself through college and became the first generation in my family to graduate from college.
Any tips for success?
My best tip for success is to never stop learning new things...you can never have too much knowledge.
Pastimes or hobbies?
I really enjoy playing/watching sports. My favorite teams are the Oakland Raiders, Oakland A's, and Golden State Warriors. If I’m not watching sports, then I’m probably watching random/weird documentaries, nature shows, travel shows, and food shows. I also am into traveling and trying new foods.
Tell us about an object in your office that has significance for you and why.
In my office, I treasure my Oakland Raiders mug. Like me, they will make the move from Oakland to Las Vegas. I have mixed feelings about the move because they are leaving my home city…. but I’ve already put in my deposit for season tickets out here.
