Biography

David Di John is the director of the Kirk Kerkorian School of Medicine at 51ԹϺ's Maternal Child Wellness Program within the Department of Pediatrics, where he treats pregnant mothers and children who are HIV positive. 

Dr. Di John brings more than 30 years of experience in research and treatment of pediatric infectious diseases, including clinical care for women, infants, children, and youth with HIV/AIDS.

Prior to joining 51ԹϺ, he directed a pediatric AIDS clinic in New York during the height of the AIDS crisis. He also taught clinical pediatrics for 18 years at New York University Medical Center, and served as director of pediatric infectious diseases for Flushing Hospital Medical Center in New York.

The bacteria that causes Legionnaires’ disease was detected in the water of the downtown Las Vegas federal courthouse, according to a spokesperson for the U.S. General Services Administration. In a statement to 8 News Now, Mary Simms of the U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) said testing revealed the “limited presence of legionella bacteria that is being mitigated” at the Lloyd D. George U.S. Courthouse.
