Biography

Dieu-My Tran’s research focuses on cardiovascular risk factors among young adults and college students. As an associate professor in 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ's School of Nursing, she has taught courses on topics including anatomy and physiology, pharmacology, research, nutrition, and medical/surgical telemetry.

As a nurse scientist, Tran’s findings have appeared in peer-reviewed publications, including the Journal of American College Health, Journal of Cardiovascular Nursing, Journal of Nursing Measurement, Journal of Community Health, and Biological Research for Nursing. She has presented her work at various national and international conferences.

Prior to joining 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ, Tran worked as a medical/surgical telemetry staff nurse. She is serving her third term as the division board president of the American Heart Association in Las Vegas.
