Wanda Taylor
Biography
Wanda Taylor is a professor of geoscience whose research specializes in earthquakes, structural geology, tectonics, and neotectonics. She studies regional tectonics and faulting processes, with a current focus on the Las Vegas Valley’s sediments and their relation to faults in and around Southern Nevada. Taylor is frequently called on by Nevada media to discuss the region's earthquake risk and related preparedness strategies.
Taylor has taught courses on topics including geology and natural disasters. She has been featured in numerous publications such as Proceedings, Symposium on the Application of Geophysics to Engineering and Environmental Problems (SAGEEP), Advances in Analysis, Modeling, and Design, and the Journal of Earth Science.
