The 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ Environmental Studies Program and Students Conscious Of Protecting the Environment (SCOPE) is inviting the public to join in the clean up of Ash Meadows Wildlife Refuge on Oct. 31.
Ash Meadows is home to 24 plants and animals, including the Devil's Hole Pupfish which does not exist anywhere else in the world. The refuge also has over 100 garbage sites that date back to the 1930's.
A caravan will be leaving the university at 8 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 31. The clean up is scheduled for 10 a.m. to noon. A tour of the refuge will follow the clean up. For more information, call Tara Pike at 895-1630.
