WHAT: George Maloff Jr., ('88, B.S.), owner of the Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas and a 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ Foundation Board of Trustees member, will be honored as the 2009 Outstanding 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ Alumnus of the Year during the 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ Alumni Association's annual homecoming dinner.
Thalia Dondero, former Clark County Commissioner and a Nevada System of High Education Board of Regent will receive The Silver State Award, which recognizes non-alumni for support to 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ.

DETAILS: The Outstanding Alumnus-of-the-Year Award recognizes significant professional and personal achievements, volunteer service to 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ and the community and school spirit. This is award is the highest honor the 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ Alumni Association bestows since the tradition began in 1974.
