Thomas L. Friedman, acclaimed author, reporter, and foreign affairs columnist for The New York Times, will present a discussion on how America lead a green economic revolution in the 21st century as part of the Barrick Lecture Series. Friedman will base his discussion on his most recent book, "Hot, Flat, and Crowded: Why We Need a Green Revolution and How It Can Renew America."

This event is free and open to the public. Friedman is a three-time Pulitzer Prize winner and author of five best-selling books including "Hot, Flat, and, Crowded," "From Beirut to Jerusalem" and "The World is Flat: A Brief History of the Twenty-First Century." The Barrick Lecture Series presents nationally and internationally known speakers through a generous grant from philanthropist Marjorie Barrick.

Tickets are limited to two per person and are available at the 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ Performing Arts Center box office off Cottage Grove Avenue at S. Maryland Parkway.
