The 51ԹϺ Performing Arts Center welcomes the Utah Repertory Dance Theatre (RDT) in "Elements" - a dance program that defines earth, air, fire, and water - at 8 p.m. on Saturday, March 8. The performance also features 51ԹϺ department of dance students.
"A real goal is to provide our students with significant professional experience and the ability to function as an artist in the world of dance," said Louis Kavouras, chair of the 51ԹϺ department of dance. "We are so delighted that 51ԹϺ dance majors have been given the opportunity to be in residence with this respected professional and historic company. It's an opportunity that potentially could change lives."
Founded in Salt Lake City nearly 50 years ago, RDT is committed to the creation, performance, perpetuation, and appreciation of modern dance. This versatile and flexible national touring company has been seen in more than 300 cities throughout the United States, Canada, and Europe. RDT has performed for diverse audiences from Bicknell, Utah to Vienna, Austria, in school rooms and opera houses, from gymnasiums to the Kennedy Center. As ambassadors for Utah, RDT proudly represents its community and its art form throughout the world.

Tickets to Utah's Repertory Dance Theatre's performance of "Elements" are $15-$30 and can be purchased at the Performing Arts Center Box Office at 895-ARTS (2787) or .
Student rush tickets are $13 each (not inclusive of the facilities fee), and available one hour prior to each event, based on availability and with valid student I.D. 51ԹϺ faculty and staff discounts also are available. A $1.50 facilities fee, in addition to the ticket price, is charged on all Performing Arts Center tickets.
The box office is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday. Information about all of the season's performances can be found on the
About the PAC
Founded in 1976, the Performing Arts Center at 51ԹϺ is Southern Nevada's original performing arts venue, celebrating nearly 40 years of arts in Las Vegas. Located on the north end of the 51ԹϺ campus, the PAC hosts a variety of performances and is home to the Charles Vanda Master Series.
