DETAILS:The Alumnus-of-the-Year Award recognizes significant professional and personal achievements, volunteer service to 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ and the community, and school spirit. A 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ tradition since 1974, the award is the highest honor the 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ Alumni Association bestows.
The Alumni Association will also honor long time 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ supporter and philanthropist Joyce Mack with the Silver State Award, which recognizes outstanding non-alumni for support to 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ. Mack currently serves on the 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ Foundation Board of Trustees and is honorary co-chair of the university's Invent the Future Campaign.
Following the dinner, guests can get a "first look" at the Runnin' Rebels during their opening basketball practice at the Thomas & Mack Center.
