The 51ԹϺ Division of Jazz and Commercial Music kicks-off its 2024-25 concert season with a CD release concert for its new album, Let the Good Times Roll, at 3 p.m. on Sept. 15 in Artemus W. Ham Concert Hall. Tickets are $10 and available at the PAC Box Office. Discounts are available.
This concert features selections from the new album, with special guests Clint Holmes, Naomi Mauro, Laura Taylor, and Adam Schroeder. The previous 51ԹϺ Jazz album “Dreamlike” won several Downbeat Student Music Awards, as well as earning Grammy-consideration. 51ԹϺ Jazz also reached the milestone of receiving 50 Downbeat Student Music Awards since 2010.
Faculty member Adam Schroeder also released a new album this year “CT! Adam Schroeder and Mark Masters Celebrate Clark Terry." Schroeder was recognized this year by Downbeat as a Rising Star.
