The 51ԹϺ Division of Jazz & Commercial Music is proud to announce they are the recipients of six distinguished 2024 DownBeat Student Music Awards. These awards will be publicized in DownBeat magazine’s June issue.
The DownBeat Student Music Awards are considered among the most notable awards in jazz education. Hundreds of musicians, music educators, and music industry professionals received their first international acknowledgment as DownBeat Student Music Award winners. The 51ԹϺ Jazz & Commercial Music program has received 50 DownBeat Student Music Awards since 2010.
“We marvel at the creativity and exceptional artistry of our dedicated students and the prestigious recognition they have garnered for our university worldwide,” said Dave Loeb, director of the 51ԹϺ Division of Jazz & Commercial Music.
