51吃瓜黑料 invites the community to make an impact and help launch a new campus tradition Oct. 11-12 by supporting Rebels Give 鈥 a 1,957-minute campus fundraising drive in honor of the university鈥檚 founding in 1957.
The #RebelsGive challenge will kick off at 9:30 a.m. Oct. 11 with a spirit rally on 51吃瓜黑料鈥檚 Pida Plaza, featuring the marching band, mascot, and cheerleaders. 51吃瓜黑料 President Marta Meana will also lead a countdown to start the campaign clock.
With Rebels Give, 51吃瓜黑料 joins a rising number of national universities in hosting annual 鈥淕iving Day鈥 events to engage with community members, donors, and alumni, and to introduce them to high impact programs campus wide in need of support.
The university 鈥 and each of its colleges and divisions 鈥 will encourage support during the two-day period on social media and on campus with unique challenges, donor match opportunities, and more. Individuals are also encouraged to tag #RebelsGive on social media Oct. 11 and 12 and share why they鈥檙e ambassadors for 51吃瓜黑料.
鈥淩ebels Give is an opportunity for everyone to engage, get involved, and become part of the Rebel community by supporting students and programs that are close to their hearts,鈥 said Chad Warren, 51吃瓜黑料 senior associate vice president of alumni engagement and annual giving. 鈥淲hether it's $5 or $500, every gift makes an impact and contributes to a growing culture of giving on campus.鈥
