Judet Roqueta, a 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ student majoring in French, has been selected to participate in the Institute for International Public Policy.
Sponsored by The College Fund/UNCF, the four-year program will provide Roqueta the opportunity to participate in special summer programs at other colleges while completing her bachelor's degree at 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ. After graduation, the program presents her with an opportunity to pursue a master's degree. It also provides at least one semester of study overseas.
Roqueta, a member of 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ's Honors College who just completed her sophomore year, will begin the program next month with the Sophomore Summer Policy Institute at Clark Atlanta University's School of International Affairs and Development. Clark Atlanta is the only historically black college/university that offers a graduate degree in international affairs.
"I'm so excited about being chosen for this program," said Roqueta, whose career goal is to become a college professor. "The educational opportunities it will provide for me are just outstanding."

The Institute for International Public Policy was created to assist in increasing the number of under-represented minorities in international service careers. Roqueta is Hispanic.
