Sponsored by the Jean Nidetch Women's Center at 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ, Take Back the Night is an annual rally and resource fair to raise awareness of the growing problem of sexual and domestic violence. The event also offers attendees a chance to speak out against violence, remember victims and support survivors.
This year's event features a cross-campus march of supporters, interactive art displays focusing on survivor testimony and rape culture and media, and the Journey Through Abuse - a multimedia timeline of sexual and domestic violence and their impact on society. Community organizations scheduled to attend include the Rape Crisis Center, Safe Nest, Nevada Coalition Against Sexual Violence, Planned Parenthood and more. 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ and high school domestic violence prevention groups will also be present.
