The office of community engagement has announced the recipients of 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ’s 2023 Community Engagement Awards. The awards recognize campus individuals for their exceptional community engagement in the areas of: service learning, community-based research, faculty/staff community outreach activity, and student service.
Two selection committees reviewed a combined total of 22 applications for awards in the four categories. Recipients of the service-learning and community-based research awards each will receive $2,000. The recipient of the faculty/staff community outreach award will receive $1,500, and the student service award recipient will receive $1,000.
2023 Community Engagement Recipients

- Faculty/Staff Outreach Award Recipient: Heather Richardson, Student Affairs
- Student Service Award Recipient: Romina Ballesteros-Paniagua, Nutrition Sciences

- Student Service Award Honorable Mention: Kyle Henson, Healthcare Policy and Administration
