The University of Nevada, Las Vegas may be getting a new mascot.
Dartmouth College will replace a weather vane that “represents an offensive image of a Native American” and the University of Nevada Las Vegas (51ԹϺ) has removed the statue of its mascot that many say is connected to the Confederacy.
51ԹϺ expects the majority of its fall semester will be conducted in-person, according to a letter from university President Dr. Marta Meana.
