2025 Outstanding Department Chair Award Recipient Announced

The recipient of the 2025 Outstanding Department Chair Award is Kevin Stoker, professor and director of the Hank Greenspun School of Journalism and Media Department within the College of Urban Affairs. Stoker’s leadership is described by his nominators as transformative, supportive, and effective. He is an advocate for faculty governance, as well as the needs of faculty and students. 

The Outstanding Department Chair/Academic Director Award recognizes a chair/director who epitomizes the highest levels of excellence in pursuit of the unit’s mission and strategic goals. Awardees receive a trophy and a monetary award. This award is administered through the Office of Faculty Affairs

Stoker and other award recipients will be featured in 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ’s 2025 Academic Achievement Award Ceremony on Wednesday, April 23 at 3 p.m. in the 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ Foundation Building, Blasco Wing.
