For December 2024, the 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ offices of educational compliance and accessibility resources recognize Darren Paulson and Dixie Ogas as our Rebel Accessibility Heroes.
Paulson, director of Telecommunications, and Ogas, administrative assistant III, Business Affairs' Work Order Control Unit, are a particular team of colleagues who facilitate the implementation of digital accessibility practice in their work and for their division. As with many previous Rebel Accessibility Heroes, they are being recognized for elevating their participation in the procurement of technology. Ogas' work with OAR has been useful in refining OAR's paperwork conversations about accessibility. Paulson has included the Office of Accessibility Resource as part of discussions with and about vendors to ensure that accessibility concerns can be addressed at crucial points in procurement processes. Together, Ogas and Paulson ensure that ICT (information and communications technology) acquisition includes the accessibility considerations required to support the 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ ICT accessibility policy, which will be five years old in January 2025.
Please join us as we recognize Dixie Ogas and Darren Paulson as our final Rebel Accessibility Heroes of 2024!
