Honoring Victim-Survivors: Join the Care Center for Sexual Assault Awareness Month Events

Join the Care Center for a month of events dedicated to raising awareness about sexual assault, educating on prevention strategies, and supporting victim-survivors. 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ faculty and staff can receive individual support through the Care Center to assist them through the process of making decisions, accessing support, working through feelings, and exploring the impact and meaning of their experiences. All Sexual Assault Awareness Month events are free and open to the public so feel free to bring a friend!

  • Denim Donations - April 2 through April 22
    • Donate denim (jeans, jackets, fabric) for our Denim Day installation. Drop off at the teal box outside the Care Center office (SSC-A, Room 255).
  • Let’s Talk About Consent Presentations - April 9 (Virtual) & April 16 (In-Person)
    • Join us to learn about consent, its importance in relationships, and ways to support survivors. Free snacks and swag included!
  • Denim Day Workshops - April 23 & 24
    • Join us on either day to learn about the significance of Denim Day, share messages of support through denim art, and contribute to a powerful awareness installation!
  • Links of Positivity: A Compliment & Affirmation Chain - April 29
  • Denim Day Installation - April 30
    • We'll be tabling at the 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ Alumni Walk to showcase the Denim Art Installation, share SAAM info, offer free food, and show support for victim-survivors.
  • Weekly Tabling | Monday & Thursday (11a.m. - 1 p.m.)
    • Stop by our table for resources, SAAM info, educational activities, and a chance to win swag! You can also drop off your denim donations at our table.
